About the Cerebral Palsy League

The Cerebral Palsy League is a non-profit organisation that provides vital support and services to over 5,000 children and adults with cerebral palsy and related physical disabilities because we believe everybody has the same right to a fulfiling life. Our vision is an inclusive world for all people.

We provide services every day, at every stage of our clients' lives and have been doing so fo over 60 years in thousands of homes, schools, communities and workplaces across Queensland.

We work alongside our clients to achieve important life milestones like walking, talking, learning, working and living independently through a broad range of services spanning across personal care, therapies and equipment.

About ROMAC

Rocelyn lives in a remote village and suffered from a facial tumour that, by the time she was referred to ROMAC and brought to Brisbane for life saving treatment, was an amazing two kilos! According to the doctors it would have killed her within weeks. She now lives a normal, happy life back home with her family.

Rocelyn is one of over 300 underprivileged children that ROMAC – Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children – has proudly changed and saved their lives. ROMAC is run entirely by volunteer Rotarians, compassionate surgeons always donate their expertise and community spirited hospitals dramatically reduce costs thus giving donors more bang for their donated buck. And the donations stay here in our local communities.

ROMAC provides these children with hope where there is no hope and restores dignity to these children’s’ lives. Its Mission Statement is “To provide medical treatment for children from developing countries in the form of life saving and/or dignity restoring surgery not accessible to them in their home country.”

On behalf of our often ‘forgotten’ children and their families, thank you
for your support.
